Leslie Charles Paddy) Kearns was born in Brisbane on 19 April 1936. At 18 years ofaged he enlisted in the Army and was allotted to the RAA. He was one of the gun sergeants with 105th File Battery on its first tour of Vietnam. Paddy rose to warrant officer class two and transferred to the Australian Army Aviation Corps before taking discharge at 41 years of age in 1977.
In his second career as a factory manager, Paddy worked till 1982 for a family friend. Around 1978, he commenced part calling price fluctuation at the Gold Coast Turf Club. In 1982, he retried from the factory and kept up the races work and being a great Dad.
Paddy was a well liked and respected Gunner and Greg West with Neville Galbraith represented the 105th Association at his final parade in 2017.
Vale Leslie Charles (Paddy) Kearns – soldier, Vietnam veteran, family man and always a Gunner. Gone to the Great Gun Park at 81 years young.
