Reg Gabriel was a former member of the RAA Association (NSW) committee and passed away due to injuries suffered in a motor accident. Times in recent years had been rather harsh to say the least, to the Gabriel family. He is remembered with warmth by an ex treasurer for Reg and his families efforts in having ‘Gunfire’ printed, packed and posted to members at minimum cost to the benefit of the association at that time.
Reg was invited to join the committee on 13 September 1989 and appointed Registrar on 31 October 1989. He offered to store records at his place in October 1992 and was instrumental in the production and dispatch of ‘Gunfire’ for the association in conjunction with Bob Owens and Victoria Barracks Printing Staff in the period 1995-96. He was appointed the associations Liaison Officer to Victoria Barracks Museum and was a member of Committee 1990-91; 1992-93; 1994-95; 1996-97 and 2005-06. Following incorporation of the association in 1993 he was the Registrar at the inaugural meeting on 21 July 1993.
The association extended their condolences to Faye and family. |
