Historical Specifics: Desperate times demand improvisation and so it was in China at the time of the Boxer rebellion. This small cannon could be carried by hand and when required would be charged with powder and then nails and other pieces of metal placed in the barrel. To fire it a percussion cap would be placed on the vent spike at the rear and struck with a hammer like tool.

They were brought back to Australia from China as trophies of the Boxer Rebellion.
