The Cannone da 75/27 modello 11 was a French-designed mountain gun produced in Italy prior to World War I. In 1935 the Terni factory began manufacturing the 75 mm pack howitzers. The breech mechanism is similar to that used on the famous French 75 mm of World war I fame.
This gun was captured by the Australian 6th Division at Bardia in the Western desert in 1941 |
