Historical Specifics: |
Type 38 75mm Field Gun was the standard field gun of the Imperial Japanese Army. It was introduced into service in 1905 during the Russo-Japanese War having been ordered from the German Company Krupp. Approximately 2,000 were manufactured. In order to extend the range, the carriage of Type 38 was modified and the elevation was increased. It was called as "Type 38 Improved". This increased the range from 8,250 to 11,500 metres. Some 400 of the improved version were produced.
The towing eye of the trail on this gun has been cut off. |
