On This Day Friday 12^th May 2018 the Battle of Coral 50^th Anniversary Artillery Commemorative Service is conducted at the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery National Memorial, Canberra.

Also on this day the 12^th May 2018 the 1^st Australian Task Force (-), present in South Vietnam, and involved in the Battle of Coral / Balmoral, was award the Unit Citation for Gallantry which is inclusive of the following Artillery units:

a. 12 ^th Field Regiment(-) specifically 102^nd (Coral) Battery;

b. Detachment 131 Divisional Locating Battery;

c. Royal New Zealand Artillery - 161 Field Battery and,

d. A Battery 2/35^th US Artillery.

The NZ and US personnel will have to await agreement from their governments for the award..
